Apple Launches New M5 14-inch MacBook Pro

Today, Apple finally officially launched its new 14-inch MacBook Pro (M5 chip). This marks the first major step in Apple’s 2026 hardware transition. Numerous leaks have surfaced ahead of the launch, but now that Apple has finally released all the details about the 14-inch MacBook Pro (M5 chip), Apple Vision Pro (M5 chip), and iPad Pro (M5 chip), let’s dive in.

With the new M5 chip, the MacBook Pro will receive significant upgrades in both performance and efficiency. According to Apple, the M5 chip delivers 3.5x faster performance in AI-based tasks compared to the M4, and graphics performance has improved by 1.6x. The M5 chip is based on TSMC’s 3nm process, which improves both battery life and thermal control. It’s worth noting that the M4 was a 3nm process, while the new M5 chip is a 3nm process, so it’s confirmed that this time around, it will deliver double the performance.

The design of the new M5 14-inch MacBook remains unchanged – the same Liquid Retina XDR display, MagSafe charging, and triple Thunderbolt ports remain. However, memory and storage upgrades have been made: this model now comes with 153 GB/s of memory bandwidth and up to 4 TB of SSD storage.

Apple has also confirmed that the M5 device will feature optimized macOS, with AI multitasking and improved Spotlight features.

The new MacBook Pro (M5) is available for pre-order starting today, with deliveries starting October 22, 2025. If you’re considering a new MacBook Pro, pre-order one today to get your hands on one as soon as possible.

In addition, Apple also announced the iPad Pro (M5 chip) and Vision Pro (M5 version), which will be part of the upcoming AI-powered Apple ecosystem. Will you be buying the new MacBook? Share your thoughts in the comments.
