- Bloomberg Reports: Apple moves new MacBook Air and Pro with M5 chip closer to mass production.
- New 27-inch Mac monitor and upgraded version of Studio Display also in development
- Launch Timeline: Likely by late 2025 or early 2026
Recently, reports have emerged suggesting that Apple is once again preparing to elevate its premium Mac lineup to a new level. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman revealed in his latest Power On newsletter that the company is nearing mass production for its next major products. These will include the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro equipped with the M5 chip.
The report states that these Mac devices have internal codenames J813, J815, J714, and J716. In addition to MacBooks, Apple is also developing a new 27-inch Mac monitor and an upgraded version of the Studio Display. All of these products are expected to launch by late 2025 or early 2026.
However, being “close to mass production” doesn’t necessarily mean Apple will release these products immediately. The company always plans its product launch schedule strategically to maximize marketing and sales impact.
“What the Bloomberg Reports Say” “Beyond the fairly imminent debut of new iPad Pro and Vision Pro models, Apple is nearing mass production of its next MacBook Pros (code-named J714 and J716), MacBook Airs (J813 and J815) and two new Mac monitors (J427 and J527), I’m told. These devices are still slated for release between the end of this year and the first quarter of next year, but it’s exciting to know these are nearing a key stage.”
Experts believe the Apple M5 chip will address the shortcomings of the previous M4 series, while also providing users with superior performance, improved graphics, and advanced AI features. This move clearly demonstrates Apple’s desire to further strengthen its Mac ecosystem for future computing needs.
If this report proves to be true, a new experience is in store for Mac users in the coming months, one that will be even better than before in terms of both user power and efficiency.
